We design and install custom home theaters, security camera systems, alarm systems, whole-home audio, smart lighting, motorized shades, networking, and home automation for homeowners and businesses across the Carolinas — from the mountain homes of Banner Elk and Blowing Rock to the beach houses of Kiawah Island and Charleston, and every community in between.
We're not a big-box installer or a one-trick shop. We're a small, licensed team that shows up on time, does clean work, and stands behind it. Whether it's a primary residence, a mountain retreat, or a coastal second home, we want it wired right, hidden cleanly, and working reliably years from now.

Marshall's Inside Connections was founded in Rochester, New York in 1999, specializing in the sale and installation of audio/video and security systems for new and existing homes. Marshall's Inside Connections was founded in Rochester, New York in 1999, specializing in the sale and installation of audio/video and security systems for new and existing homes. In 2004, founder Brian Marshall moved the company's operations to Charlotte, North Carolina to serve the Carolinas' rapidly growing home and construction market. The business was formally incorporated in North Carolina on September 29, 2008 as Marshall's Inside Connections Inc.
Since opening our doors in the Carolinas, we've installed thousands of systems — in Charlotte-area primary homes, Blue Ridge mountain retreats, Lake Norman and Lake Wylie properties, and coastal homes along the South Carolina shore. Over the years we've expanded our services to include home automation, whole-home networking, lighting control, motorized shades, central vacuum, and irrigation.
Our crew is small on purpose — every job gets the owner's attention, clean work, and real service long after the install is done. More than 25 years after we started, we're still doing what we set out to do: design systems that fit the customer, install them cleanly, and be there when you need us.
