It’s official, Nirv by Speakercraft has No Media, No Way. Shortly after release to it’s dealers in the United States Speakercraft has decided to pull the plug on Nirv.

Speakercraft released a new line of in-wall and in-ceiling speakers that do away with the border flange. The sleek design of the profile series speakers uses neodymium magnets to attach the grille completely concealing the flange. You still get the same great sound with an aesthetically pleasing look.

“They barely even look like speakers,” says Jeremy Burkhardt, Speakercraft’s president. “They look more like shadows—and that’s if you notice them at all, which no one probably will unless they’re just insatiably curious about where all that great sound is coming from.”

What is it?

Structured wiring is the interior cabling that will deliver your entertainment, information and communications throughout the home from a central location known as the structured wiring box. Although the idea of controlling your entire home with an iPhone/iPad is cool, I would never recommend it as your only control interface. I would still use at least one of their user interfaces like a TKP-2000 or a TRC-1280.
